I spent this sunday shopping.I dont go shopping often,so i shop for atleast half a day whenever i go.Chennai was really sunny on sunday.Shopping in Chennai can satisfy every type of people,there is something or everything for everyone.You can go on repeated shopping sprees.After all chennai is a vibrant metropolitan city.
But shopping in chennai is no pleasant experience,especially when you go shopping in the famous T.Nagar.For a lot of chennaites shopping in chennai means going to T.Nagar. And thats the cause of overcrowding in this famous shopping quarters.Everyday thousands of people come for shopping here.And if it is a sunday,the number goes too high.Roads are packed with people and one cant move quickly.If it is festival season,no need to walk,the crowd will just drag you to the other end of the street,one just have to keep pace with the swarm.
The police department is trying its best to regulate traffic and provide security for the shoppers.But the crowd gets bigger as dusk nears and there are people all over.Vehicles move slower than the pedestrians.Such a traffic.Under the Usman road flyover hundreds of two wheelers are parked,occupying some part of the road.
This traffic and crowd cannot be controlled unless people stop coming here.Suburbs must house shopping malls which must provide quality products at affordable cost,so that people leave T.Nagar behind and shop at their own localities.
But my shopping experience was pleasant,i loved the crowd!
